Commentry
This is my audio that will be played throughout the video but it needs to be edted as some places are louder than others. I may do this by making it sound like she is actually on the phone which adds to the realisum but also means I do not have to re record my interewee who is unavailable at the moment.
The commentry is during the time lapse at the start. There will be an explination of the legal and ethical issues at the beginning and where to find out more at the end. (http://www.police.uk).
My Commentry
In the united Kingdom when you call 999 you are put through to an emergency call centre. You will talk to an emergency operator which will direct your call to the following sevices:
Police
Ambulance service
Fire Brigade
Coastguard
The operator assistance canters may then directly rout your emergency call to the problem that needs to be addressed.
The police have the higher percentage of call outs and as a result get a bigger understanding of the public. Due to the terrorist act law the people in this film will not be named keeping their identity safe.
This is only a miunte long, this will give a sense of what the rest of the video intels. TURN UP THE VOLUME!
Offline Edit & Feeback
Getting feedback from my target audience helps me improve the message I am trying to produce, and helps me understand what they want to see. This includes all my componants
1) Timing - The movie is very long for what the message is trying to convey. She repeates herself throughout the video which means im going to have to be brutle and cut out the relevant audio needed for the project. She explains certain things clearly whiles other times she does a lot of stuttering.
2) Cutaways - Although my film is all about cutaways there are way to many throughout the video that are irrelavent or are not very good. Cutting down the film will help me pick the relevant shots needed in the project.
3) Some things are overly staged - This maybe due to the reconstrution of the stories as I had to go with the footage I had but also the description she gave me. I think there isnt a lot I can do about this but hopefully it will look better once I finish all the editing.
Final Film Part One
Feedback
I finished my film and Realised I was infrount of scedual on my production plan. I exported my final film which is on the left and gathered some more feedback from my target audience to improve it some more before the deadline day.
1) No matter how hard I tried I couldnt get rid of the girl skipping but the target audeince thought I should cut her out completely as this gave my film a comical side which is not the effect I wanted.
2) I shouldnt be scared of pauses. Pauses helps the audience reflect on the action but get drawn into the film so that they want to listen to what she has to say.
3) Length was always a problem and they challenged me to cut mine down to be three minutes. This will make it short but effective.
Finished Film Part Two
Feedback
This is my second film, I wanted to take my feed back from the other film and then make a judgement on which my target audience prefers.
1) The pauses work well and engage the audience. The only problme is that they can no longer follow the story line as the audio and video has been over cropped.
2) The black outs - Although these were effective to just listen to the audio however, the screen just goes black in places with nothing to focus on and some can be too long.
3) Length was always a problem and even with the massive cutdowns I couldnt make it to three minutes.
