As this was an academic film project I did not really need to consider the budget, however somethings I had consider which would be:
-
Overheads - Location is key and getting the right one will cost money. For mine most of the time the location is in a public place so the cost is not a problem.
-
Equipment - Camera's where mine but I had to pay for them to begin with, lights for the camera to show up the models, computers and their software. Also boom microphones are essential in my film.
-
Time - My time is valued and the time I took take photos outside of school and the time it takes me to travel from one location to the next. Also other people’s time and energy, they all have to be paid.
-
Transport - I had to get trains, buses and cars so petrol and tickets needed to be paid for.
-
Model/people - People need to be paid especially the model who stars in my video as he/she needs to make a living
Budget to consider
This is to make me aware that I am giving away information for an organisation and I have to make sure my sources and what is being said is legit as making false claims can lead to major consequences. This means I will make sure all my facts are true before publishing them.
Slander And Liability
I have to take into consideration the violent language that could of been included in my video. This will not be an issue for my video as it contains under 18s so language should be kept to a minimal, however if I was aware of any violence I would have to insert a Pegi age limit for parental guidance to convey to my audience what the video may entail.
Violance And Offensive Language/Behavior
There is a law – Section 58A of the Terrorism Act 2000 – that says police officers can stop you filming them if they believe that the video will be used for purposes of terrorism. Don’t film/upload anything that the police can use against the police, such as swearing. As my interviewee has not given me permission to film them I am not permitted to upload any film about them. Also eveything I have filmed or will film needs to be presented and showen towards the cheif of police and anyone else before using it as a project film.
