The start of Backwell Agency

I got to see our slogan for the first time. The collaboration of words that our group pulled together coveys a clean statement and says what it does on the tin so to speak.

However i learnt that fonts and layout shows your creativity. Ours was in a san-serif font which presents a crisp and simple agency, however i think we need to show more than simple, I want to be different and make a difference.

In 1909 there was traditional paintings that took a long time to paint and shows a painters expertise. Some ‘punks’ in there time showed a new life buy throwing paint all over these paintings. They made their mark and showed a new future in art.

This was also shown in 1921 with the machine age where everything was new and happening, this changed the layout design of different fonts and words.

The style needs to communicate your point. I learnt that you have to remember not everyone has access to everything like the internet or television, but we still need to be different, each generation should push tradition forward or back if it needs to go back. People need to be an individual!

The seven most important words to think about is:

• PURPOSE - look up what it might of been used for

• FORMAT - Website? Poster? What do you put it on?

• CONTENT - Colours? Graphic shapes?

• STYLE

• LAYOUT

• TARGET AUDIENCE - Who is it aimed at?

• REGULATORY BODIES - People who prevent? ‘The man in print advertisement’
